//Friday Fiction #16//
Whoa! Man... I apologize for practically being nonexistent here all summer, but when I explain myself I’m sure you will understand the reason for my absence. You see, I got caught in what the Star Trek Universe calls a ‘Temporal Distortion’ which froze me in time like a fly caught in amber. So there I was, for weeks on end, a statue of myself. And although a few months passed outside the distortion, only about five seconds passed for me. Then when I got back, I learned that my entire life had changed, and that I had neglected all my internet duties.
But what was I to do? I had only five seconds to move out of the distortion, and those five seconds took me almost three months! However, I did remember the location of the distortion, and am currently using it to stash expensive fruits and vegetables. And although I can’t say that they will never, ever rot or mold, I am certain that I will some way to eat them all before that ever happens. Either that or my great-great grandchildren will. So in this way I’m sort of using it like a nullentropy bin from the Dune universe.
The temporal distortion was why I couldn’t finish the Glomeworld novella until now. So here it is, three months or five seconds late:

And it also seems that ~
The-Purple-Scribbler was busy while I was practically frozen in space and time, as he has submitted two shorts to the club.
The first one is A Pirate under Grace's Moon:

And the second one is Mars Vermin:

Take care members, and I’ll try to avoid those pesky little holes in time!

Submission & Showcase Manual
//Aim//
To bring together Science Fiction writers and readers in Deviantart. This group is open to everyone and anyone who have a passion for sci-fi literature.
//Joining//
1. Add the ~
intergalactica to your deviantWatch.
2. Add a link to the club in your signature.
3. Show the club icon in your journal. Just type : iconintergalactica : without the spaces.
3. Send a note to us with the subject
Join.
4. You'll be notified when you're in the list.
//Note//
Although membership to the club is open to everyone, this club will only be showcasing science-fiction literature. Meaning to say that only writer's work will be showcase and we
NOT be showcasing Science Fiction Visual Art (Drawings, 3D, fractals, etc) unless they are previews for sci-fi literature pieces.
Science fiction is fiction that revolves around science and/or technology. That said, literature about magic and fantasy are not accepted here unless they are laced with reference to some sort of technology (holocron, spaceship etc, you get the picture). Or if the fantastic elements are in some way related to technology. As Arthur C. Clark stated famously: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
For Fantasy and Magic literature, you can join ~
libri-magica.

Did you know that:
E^2 = p^2c^2)+([<delta>m^2]c^4.
which implies that:
E= [mc^2]/[<sq. root> 1-(v^2/c")].
when p=0 (in eq 1, or 2, whichever you find simpler)
E=mc^2........
(In reality, p can never=0, so E should, realistically not be =mc^2, )
A club sandwich!
